The workout that feels like a hangout.

Deep End Sessions

What is a Deep End Session?

Deep End Sessions are a unique blend of fitness and community.

It’s not a class. It’s an experience.

Come solo or bring a friend.

Club Tread is a social, water-based workout, where we circle up and find our rhythm treading water for 60 minutes. This low-impact, full-body workout is accessible to all fitness levels. Intensity can be adjusted to meet you where you are—take a break at the pool’s edge or increase the challenge by adding weights. What makes Club Tread unique is the environment: treading face to face creates space for real conversation, making the time fly by. Before you know it, your cardio is done.

  • A 60-minute tread session in deep water
  • Small group setting (10–15 max)
  • Beginner-friendly and open to all levels
  • Time to connect, both in and out of the water

What to Expect

  • Club Tread is designed for anyone looking for a sustainable, feel-good way to move their body
  • People craving a more social, community-based experience
  • Meet you where you are fitness with options to level up with a ClubTread weight vest

Who It's For

  • Builds strength, endurance, and core stability
  • Socialize and meet new people while you get a full body workout
  • Connect through face-to-face interaction
  • Leave feeling physically and mentally refreshed

Why Tread?

  • “I can get all my aerobic and resistance training done all at once while listening to my audiobook. Also-it’s a calm and serene environment and not the hype of the gym. I also love that I can see myself improving by how long I can tread”

    Ginny B, Phoenix AZ

  • "Treading has been the perfect way to fit exercise into my busy life while staying connected with friends. I was unsure at first, but after trying it with my best friends, I was hooked. You’re side-by-side in the pool, fully present, having meaningful conversations without device distractions. An hour flies by, and afterwards, you feel amazing both physically and emotionally. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to combine fitness with friendship quality time."

    Amie M, Wellington NZ

  • "It can be so hard to find time to catch up with friends and get a bit of exercise in a week. We’ve replaced going out for a drink with an hour of treading each week and it’s so great. It’s something to look forward to and always feels good afterwards”

    Claire P, Wellington, NZ

  • "1) I am burning calories while I can still have a conversation with my fellow treader, 2) It is low impact on my knees, feet, everything really and at my age, that is really important, 3) It is scaleable… if I start to find it easier, I can add weight, or tread higher or work a different paddling style that works my body differently and 4) the thermodynamic element burns calories ( i.e. the water is cold, making my body burn more calories to keep warm)."

    Andy R, Milwaukee, WI

  • "If you are looking for a fun, accessible workout that also gives you a social outlet, this is it! I’ve been treading for over 4 years now, and not only does my body feels stronger and more balanced, it helps with my mental health since I get to connect with friends a few days a week. I highly recommend!"

    Christine W, Boulder, CO

How It Works

A one-hour experience designed for movement, connection, and presence.

  • Come ready to move—either arrive in your swimsuit or plan a quick change when you get there. We recommend giving yourself a few extra minutes to settle in and meet the group.

  • We’ll start poolside with a quick welcome and light introductions. This is a judgment-free, all-levels space—come as you are.

  • We’ll build into a steady tread—finding rhythm, breath, and focus. Leaders will facilitate connection, reflection, and sharing.

  • Connection doesn’t have to end here. Hang out after for a snack and bevvie.
